Quick answer: No. We do not offer manual IP replacements or ISP swaps. You must request a refund (if eligible) and purchase a new proxy.
Why IP Swaps Are Not Available
Each proxy is assigned a specific IP address from a specific ISP at the time of purchase. Our infrastructure does not support hot-swapping IPs on active subscriptions because:
- IP addresses are allocated from fixed ISP pools tied to specific geographic locations.
- Swapping an IP would require deprovisioning one connection and provisioning another, which is effectively a new purchase.
- The IP you want to swap away from is then released and may be assigned to another customer.
What to Do Instead
- Check refund eligibility — If you are within the 24-hour unused window or the 3-day conditional window, you may be eligible for a refund. See our Refund and Replacement Policy.
- Request a balance refund — This is the fastest option. The amount is credited to your ProxyPorts account and you can immediately purchase a new proxy with a different IP.
- Purchase an additional proxy — If your current proxy still has value for other tasks, you can keep it and buy a second proxy with a different IP.
Exceptions
If your proxy has a verified technical defect (cannot connect at all, wrong country assignment), contact support. We may issue a replacement in cases of confirmed infrastructure errors — but this is at our discretion and not guaranteed.
