Quick answer: No. Our proxies support country-level targeting only, and specific cities or states are assigned completely at random by our automated system.
How Location Assignment Works
When you purchase a proxy, you select the country. The specific city, state, or region within that country is assigned automatically based on available inventory. You cannot:
- Choose a specific city (e.g., "New York" or "Los Angeles").
- Choose a specific state or region (e.g., "California" or "Texas").
- Request a location change after purchase.
Why Country-Level Only?
ISP and Data Center IPs are allocated in blocks by regional registries. The geographic distribution of available IPs depends on where ISPs and data centers are physically located. Offering city-level precision would severely limit available inventory and increase costs.
Does City-Level Location Matter?
For most use cases, the specific city within a country does not affect functionality:
- Social media platforms check the country, not the city.
- Geo-restricted content is typically locked at the country level.
- Web scraping results rarely vary by city within the same country.
If your use case genuinely requires a specific city (rare), contact support to check if we have inventory in that area — but we cannot guarantee availability.
