Maintenance Schedule
ProxyPorts performs scheduled maintenance to keep our infrastructure running smoothly and securely.
When Does Maintenance Happen?
Scheduled maintenance typically occurs on weekends (Saturday or Sunday) during off-peak hours. This timing is chosen to minimize disruption to the majority of our users.
What to Expect During Maintenance
During a maintenance window, you may experience:
- Brief connection interruptions (usually lasting a few minutes).
- Temporary slowdowns as traffic is rerouted.
- In rare cases, full proxy downtime for specific server locations (typically under 1 hour).
How Are Maintenance Windows Communicated?
- Planned maintenance is announced in advance via the ProxyPorts dashboard and/or status page.
- Emergency maintenance (rare) may occur without advance notice if a critical security or stability issue is discovered.
Compensation for Downtime
If a maintenance window or unplanned outage significantly affects your proxy availability:
- Time will be added to your subscription to compensate for the downtime.
- Compensation is applied after the issue is fully resolved — not during the outage.
- You do not need to request compensation manually; it is applied automatically for verified outages.
What You Should Do During Maintenance
- Do not change your proxy settings — The same credentials and endpoints will work once maintenance is complete.
- Wait for the maintenance to finish — Repeatedly reconnecting during maintenance generates unnecessary load and may slow down the process.
- Check the dashboard — Status updates are posted during maintenance windows.
