Proxy Renewal Window
When your proxy subscription expires, you have a limited window to renew it and keep the same IP address.
The 3-Day Renewal Window
After your proxy expires, you have exactly 3 days to renew it from your ProxyPorts dashboard. During this window:
- Your proxy IP is reserved and not reassigned to other customers.
- The proxy will not function (no active connections), but the IP remains held for you.
- You can renew at any time within the 3 days to restore full functionality with the same IP.
After the 3-Day Window
If you do not renew within 3 days:
- The IP address is permanently released back into the pool.
- It may be assigned to another customer.
- The IP cannot be recovered.
If you need a proxy after the renewal window has closed, you will need to purchase a new one, which will have a different IP address.
How to Renew
- Log into your ProxyPorts dashboard.
- Navigate to your proxy list.
- Find the expired proxy (it will show an "Expired" status).
- Click Renew and complete the payment.
- The proxy will be reactivated immediately with the same IP and credentials.
Pro Tip: Enable Auto-Renewal
To avoid accidentally losing your IP, enable auto-renewal on your proxy. This ensures your subscription is automatically extended before it expires, as long as you have sufficient balance or a valid payment method on file.
